These men are adding chromium trioxide crystal to the chrome plating tank,
to replace the chromium that has been electrodeposited onto the plated parts.
The crystal form of the product often has lower levels of impurities (especially sulfate) than the flake form.
The water in the tank was preheated to 130 deg. F. to help the chrome to dissolve.
The tank's exhaust ventilation fan is operational.
