Conforming Anode With Two Diameters This anode was intentionally built with the bottom section smaller in diameter than the rest of the anode. The closer anode spacing at the bottom helps to overcome resistive electrical losses in the anode and steel part, so that the chromium deposits at a the same rate of deposition at the bottom of a long part.
